Job summary

NIS EXPRESS is seeking Tyler-based regional drivers who want steady OTR-style miles with a weekly reset. You’ll operate within TX, OK, AR, LA, MS, and West TN, with home weekly for a 34-hour reset and mostly no-touch freight.

Expect $0.54–$0.60 per mile, with top earners over $1,500 weekly and a $3,000 sign-on bonus. Detention pay, layover pay, and a quarterly bonus are part of the compensation package.

Qualifications

• 21+ years old with valid US driver's license.
• CDL-A issued by one state and held for 12 consecutive months.
• At least 3 months tractor-trailer experience (40 ft+).
• Out of the seat 6 months in last 5 years or 12 months in last 10 years allowed with a road test.
• No more than 2 moving violations in 2 years and no preventable CMV accidents in 5 years.
• No DUI/DWI in the last 10 years if CDL-A held (5 years if before).
• DOT physical plus hair and urine drug testing required.

Responsibilities

• Operate 53' tractor-trailer units on regional lanes.
• Maintain logs and comply with DOT regulations.
• Coordinate with dispatcher for routing and schedules.
• Ensure safe, secure, and timely deliveries.

Job description

Tyler drivers who want OTR style miles with a weekly reset: this regional fleet keeps most of its freight in the South and gets you home every week.

Home Time and Lanes

• Home weekly for a 34 hour reset
• 80% of freight in TX, OK, AR, LA, MS, and West TN
• Occasional runs as far as MO, KS, IL, AL, North GA, KY, and Southern OH
• Average haul around 300 miles, about 2,000 miles a week

Pay

• Top 20% of regional drivers earn $1,500+ per week
• $0.54 to $0.60 per mile based on experience
• $3,000 sign-on bonus: $1,500 at 90 days, $1,500 at 6 months
• Up to 3 cents per mile monthly performance bonus
• Detention $12.50/hour after 2 hours, layover $100/day

Freight and Trucks

• 100% no-touch, 50% to 60% drop and hook
• 2021 or newer automatic Cascadias and Kenworths

Requirements

• 21 or older, US driver's license held for the last 12 consecutive months
• Valid Class A CDL issued by one state
• At least 3 months tractor-trailer experience (40 ft+) in the last 36 months
• Out of the seat a while? 6 months in the last 5 years or 12 months in the last 10 years can qualify with a road test
• No more than 2 moving violations in 2 years, no preventable CMV accidents in 5 years, no more than 3 jobs in the last 12 months
• No DUI/DWI in the last 10 years if you held a CDL-A at the time (5 years if before)
• Pass a DOT physical plus hair and urine drug testing
