Job summary

Morton Buildings, Inc. is seeking an experienced CDL driver to join the regional plant team. You will deliver loaded buildings from our manufacturing facility to customer sites and unload and stage materials, while adhering to safety and DOT compliance.

The role emphasizes daily/weekly delivery planning, pre-trip inspections, and collaboration with the Shipping Supervisor. You will mentor new drivers and support plant-wide safety and efficiency initiatives.

Qualifications

Requires a Valid Class A CDL with Air Brake Endorsement.
Proficient understanding of DOT regulations and safety rules.
Ability to communicate clearly, both in writing and verbally.
Willingness to travel overnight as needed.

Responsibilities

Plan daily and weekly deliveries in compliance with DOT Hours of Service rules.
Perform pre-trip inspections of equipment and cargo.
Coordinate with Shipping Supervisor and Traffic Manager on loads and scheduling.
Assist Maintenance in equipment upkeep and reporting issues.
Maintain safety, efficiency, and profitability of the department.
Mentor new drivers and support cross-plant material movement.
