Veolia in North America is seeking a safety‑mocused driver to transport hazardous and non-hazardous materials from customer sites to designated facilities. This role ensures packaging meets DOT standards, inspects manifests, and maintains current transportation permits across travel areas.

Responsibilities include daily vehicle inspections, verifying shipment records, and coordinating with customers to resolve paperwork issues.

Formación

• Familiarity with DOT regulations for hazardous and non-hazardous materials
• Strong team player with good interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication abilities
• Efficient time management to handle multiple tasks
• CDL Class A license and HAZWOPER training where applicable

Responsabilidades

• Perform daily vehicle and trailer inspections for safety and equipment integrity
• Review shipment records, manifests, container labeling and paperwork before transport
• Ensure DOT requirements, permits and logs are up to date
• Coordinate with customers on load conditions and paperwork to ensure proper transport
• Notify supervisor of incidents or violations during routes
• Assist with loading/unloading at designated sites as needed
• Maintain housekeeping and comply with safety policies
• Perform other duties as assigned
