Job summary

Sub Source is seeking a CDL-A licensed Truck Driver for regional deliveries and pickups around Rockford and the Chicago loop. You will perform pre-trip inspections, maintain logs, and collect customer signatures on delivery paperwork.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading with forklift assistance, verifying freight against packing slips, and keeping docks clean and organized. Hazmat endorsement is a plus, with reimbursement after hire.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL-A with acceptable MVR.
• DOT Medical Card or ability to pass DOT physical and drug screen.
• Hazmat endorsement within a reasonable timeframe post-hire (reimbursed) to transport crated customer assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate commercial box trucks and tractors for regional deliveries and pickups (Rockford/Chicago loop).
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections per DOT regulations.
• Complete delivery paperwork, verify against Bills of Lading (BOL), and obtain customer signatures.
• Maintain clean driver logs and report mechanical defects or delays promptly.
• Assist Shipping & Receiving with loading and unloading freight.
• Stage, organize, and move materials using forklifts.
• Verify incoming freight against packing slips and stage for production departments.
• Maintain clean, safe dock and vehicle storage areas.
• Communicate needed truck repairs promptly to maintenance.
