American Driver in Atascadero, CA is hiring for dry van drivers. This role features 100% no‑touch freight, 2‑day trips on average, and runs across AZ, CA, CO, ID, MT, NV, NM, OR, UT, WA, WY with an option to go beyond for extra miles.

You’ll earn weekly pay between $1,200 and $1,500, with top performers at about $1,700. A $1,000 guaranteed pay is offered during the first three months after solo dispatch, plus stop pay and mile bonuses.

Qualifications

• Must have valid Class A CDL and current DOT medical card.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Clean MVR and background check.
• Must pass hair and urine drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Operate dry van trailers with 100% no-touch freight.
• 70% drop and hook, 30% live load/unload.
• Run across AZ, CA, CO, ID, MT, NV, NM, OR, UT, WA, WY with potential to extend beyond western states.
• 1,700–2,400 miles weekly; most trips 2 days or less.

Who Qualifies

• Brand new CDL-A holders welcome, or 6+ months of verifiable solo experience
• Valid Class A CDL and current DOT medical card, 21 years or older
• Clean MVR and background check
• Must pass hair and urine drug testing

What You'll Drive

• Dry van trailers, 100% no touch freight
• 70% drop and hook, 30% live load/unload
• Runs across AZ, CA, CO, ID, MT, NV, NM, OR, UT, WA, and WY
• Option to run beyond the 11 western states if you want extra miles
• 1,700 to 2,400 miles weekly, most trips 2 days or less

What You'll Earn

• Line haul pay scale, average weekly earnings of $1,200 to $1,500 depending on experience
• Top 25% of drivers clear $1,700 weekly
• $1,000 guaranteed pay for your first 3 months after your first solo dispatch
• Bonus up to $0.06 per mile for qualified drivers
• $15 stop pay
• $20 assist/pallet jack/tailgate pay, $80 for a full hand unload

New to the Road?

• Guaranteed weekly pay during your training period
• One-on-one training with an experienced mentor
• Move to full solo mileage pay right after training wraps
• 120+ hours from an accredited CDL school required to start

Your Schedule

• Home every two weeks
• Day and night dispatch
• Weekends included, holidays off possible by working with your driver leader
• Some winter driving involved
