Job Summary:

A Line Haul Driver (LHD) operates on a variable schedule, running trips as assigned by the dispatcher based on availability. Some trips may take several days, requiring close monitoring of hours of service per DOT regulations, which limit on-duty hours to 70 in any eight-day period. After reaching this limit, a 34-hour reset period is mandatory before the next assignment. Dispatchers will generally aim to have drivers home for part of the weekend.

Job Responsibilities:

- Perform pre-trip inspections
- Operate company-owned tractor-trailers for freight transportation
- Conduct required pre-, during-, and post-operation maintenance and report accordingly
- Provide excellent customer service during delivery and pickup
- Maintain required certifications per DOT, OSHA, and company safety programs
- Keep company property in excellent condition
- Report all accidents immediately
- Notify dispatchers or managers promptly of delays
- Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

- Class A license
- Good DMV record
- No DUI within the last 5 years
- At least 1 year of recent experience or military equivalent
- Good, stable work history
- Current DOT physical
- Minimum age: 23 years
