Position Details

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Regional Driver to join our team in Minooka, IL. This position involves longer-distance driving that may require multiple days on the road, typically within a specific region. Our drivers enjoy regular home time, with opportunities for Safety Bonuses for qualified individuals. The freight is NO TOUCH, and some store deliveries involve drop and hook operations.

Pay: $0.55/mile

Job Responsibilities

1. Execute timely deliveries to dedicated accounts across the region
2. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections before and after each load
3. Maintain accurate daily electronic logs (E-Logs)
4. Operate company-owned tractor-trailer trucks for regional freight transportation
5. Perform required “user maintenance” and submit necessary reports
6. Deliver exceptional customer service during pickup and delivery operations
7. Maintain all DOT, OSHA, and company safety program certifications
8. Preserve company property in excellent condition
9. Report accidents immediately and communicate any delays promptly to dispatch or management
10. Contribute to overall team operations as needed

Minimum Requirements

1. Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
2. Clean driving record (MVR, CSA, and previous employment)
3. Ability to pass DOT pre-employment drug screening and meet DOT medical requirements
4. Stable work history
5. Current DOT physical certification
6. Minimum 1 year of Class A driving experience or equivalent military experience
7. At least 23 years of age
8. Comprehensive knowledge of traffic laws and defensive driving techniques
9. Proficiency in safely operating various vehicles
10. Strong interpersonal and communication skills
11. Ability to work independently and make sound judgments
12. Capability to maintain equipment safely at all times
13. Willingness to be away from home for multiple days at a time
14. Ability to manage time effectively and plan routes efficiently

Physical Demands

1. Extended periods of sitting while operating vehicles for multiple days
2. Manual dexterity for vehicle operation and equipment management
3. Occasional heavy lifting (50+ pounds) for cargo handling
4. High levels of concentration and situational awareness over long drives
5. Flexibility to work irregular hours, including early mornings, late evenings, and weekends
6. Ability to work in various weather conditions
7. Physical capability for climbing in and out of truck cabs and trailers
8. Compliance with all health and safety regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment
