Job summary

Unum is seeking a Regional Broker Manager in the United States to drive broker-influenced sales across assigned territories, in collaboration with Colonial Life’s sales organization. The role focuses on acquiring new clients and supporting growth with brokers and home office partners.

You will train the brokerage sales hierarchy, engage with brokers, and align plans with regional goals while traveling 50%–75% of the time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Licensed to solicit insurance or able to obtain license within 45 days.
• 8+ years of broker sales/marketing experience.
• Strong communication, influencing, presentation and persuasion skills.
• Ability to travel 50% to 75% of the time.
• Self-guided; strong organization skills.

Responsibilities

• Grow broker-influenced sales in assigned territory in partnership with Colonial Life’s sales organization.
• Engage with targeted brokers regularly; document engagements in CRM and manage the client pipeline.
• Partner with Territory Sales Managers to create and execute business plans aligned to regional and national goals.
• Train and develop the Colonial Life brokerage sales hierarchy and value proposition.
• Cultivate strong working relationships with internal and external partners and manage broker meetings and events.
