Qualifications

• 2 years technical school or military training in electronics or equivalent experience
• 4 years' experience in broadcast operations
• SBE certification or FCC General Class license preferred
• Valid state driver's license with an excellent driving record
• Ability to climb ladders and lift up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, deploy and maintain electronic equipment for broadcast performance.
• Assist with installation, training and support of software, hardware and peripherals.
• Test components to locate defects and diagnose malfunctions.
• Perform preventative maintenance and upgrades.
• Align and calibrate RF transmission equipment per FCC specs.
• Maintain data and audio storage integrity and backups.
• Ensure reliable operation of audio automation system.
• Maintain internal tools and document repairs/calibrations/tests.
• Recommend capital improvements to engineering management.
• Advise on transmitter site facilities maintenance.
• Participate in after-hours production/deployments.
• Provide 24/7 on-call support for studio/transmission.
