Florida Department of Children and Families seeks a Behavioral Health Consultant OPS to provide clinical expertise in child welfare cases, with a focus on substance use disorders. The role requires collaboration with CPIs and dependency case managers to enhance engagement and access to treatment, recovery supports, and resources.

The position is not a telework role and requires working in the Regional Office, with occasional travel and emergency response duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in health or human services-related field required.
• Three years of experience treating substance use disorders.
• Valid Class E Driver License required.
• Florida license in psychology, social work, or related field preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide clinical expertise to identify behavioral health needs in child welfare.
• Consult with CPIs and case managers to identify disorders and engage families.
• Educate on MAT and behavioral health best practices for investigations.
• Coordinate referrals and access to treatment and recovery supports.
• Track referrals and entry into treatment for parents with behavioral health disorders.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and post-disaster responses.
