Job summary

The Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) is seeking a Behavioral Health Consultant OPS for the SunCoast Regional Office in SARASOTA, FL.

This highly responsible role provides clinical expertise to identify parents with behavioral health needs within the child welfare system, focusing on opioid use and related disorders, and collaborates with CPIs and dependency case managers to improve access to treatment and recovery supports.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a health or human services-related field.
• Three years of experience treating substance use disorders.
• Valid Class E Driver License.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical expertise to identify parents with behavioral health conditions in the child welfare system with focus on substance use disorders.
• Collaborate with CPIs and case managers to build front-line staff expertise in behavioral health identification and engagement.
• Educate on the use of MAT and engage with families in the field and office settings.
• Track referrals and entry into treatment for parents with behavioral health disorders.
