Job summary

MPI seeks an Assistant Project Manager to support planning, execution, and delivery of commercial construction projects across New England. You will work with project teams, subcontractors, and clients to keep projects on schedule and budget.

You will assist with preconstruction through closeout, manage RFIs, submittals, and documentation, and help supervise safety and quality on active sites. Travel to sites in NH, ME, MA, VT, and RI as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction PM software.
• Willingness to travel to regional project sites.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers in coordinating commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Assist with project planning, scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and subcontractor management.
• Track project costs, review invoices, process change orders, and maintain project documentation.
• Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure objectives are achieved.
• Help manage RFIs, submittals, permits, and project correspondence.
• Monitor project schedules and identify risks or delays.
• Participate in project meetings and provide progress updates.
• Support quality control and safety initiatives across active job sites.
• Assist with project closeout activities, punch lists, documentation, and warranty coordination.
• Travel to project sites throughout New England as needed.
