Job summary

NAPA Auto Parts is seeking a Regional Manager of Asset Protection to oversee regional asset protection initiatives with a primary focus on theft investigations, safety compliance, and risk audits. You will safeguard company assets, reduce shrink, and promote a safe environment for employees and customers.

The role requires strong investigative skills, OSHA safety knowledge, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams, coach store staff, and report findings to regional leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Criminal Justice, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5-7 years in asset protection, loss prevention, or related field.
• 2-3 years in a multi-unit or regional leadership role.
• Proven track record of theft investigations and safety programs.
• Strong investigative techniques, risk management, and data interpretation.
• Excellent leadership with ability to influence diverse teams.
• Analytical thinking, effective communication, and collaboration with stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented, highly organized with ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee investigations into internal and external theft, fraud, and other criminal activities.
• Collaborate with store teams, law enforcement, and legal departments to resolve theft cases.
• Utilize investigative tools such as CCTV, exception reporting systems, and interviews to identify theft incidents.
• Maintain detailed documentation of investigations in compliance with policies and legal requirements.
• Provide training and guidance on theft prevention strategies and safety awareness.
• Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments across locations in the region.
• Partner with store leadership to implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.
• Ensure OSHA compliance and promote a culture of safety.
• Investigate workplace accidents to determine root causes and preventative measures.
• Identify vulnerabilities in processes and recommend improvements to reduce risk and shrink.
• Monitor cash handling, inventory control, and other operational standards.
• Provide actionable insights and reports to senior leadership on audit findings and trends.
• Advise store managers and regional leadership on asset protection matters.
• Coach store teams on asset protection best practices and risk mitigation.
• Build relationships with law enforcement, vendors, and stakeholders to enhance efforts.
• Analyze shrink data and safety metrics to identify patterns and develop action plans.
• Prepare and present reports on asset protection performance to senior leadership.
• Leverage data to prioritize high-risk locations and allocate resources.
