Job summary

Texas Health and Human Services seeks a Program Specialist I in Arlington, TX to support the Regional Asset Management Office. You will coordinate with purchasing, accounting and statewide property management, train asset coordinators, and provide subject-matter expertise to internal and external customers on asset management tasks.

Tasks include asset tracking, tagging, inventory updates in CAPPS, reviewing purchase requisitions for asset coding, and generating reports to monitor key measures.

Qualifications

• Experience in asset management or inventory control.
• Experience in computer use and computer software.
• Experience with communicating with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate asset management tasks with internal programs and statewide areas.
• Train statewide inventory coordinators and AMO staff in daily asset mgmt duties.
• Prepare and provide asset management reports tracking key measures.
• Review requisitions to ensure correct asset coding in CAPPS workflow.
• Maintain asset records, tagging and advise on policy changes as needed.
