Job summary

KLA is seeking a Regional Development Applications Engineer based in Austin, TX. You will characterize new systems, conduct experiments, collect data, and publish results to guide product decisions. You will drive product adoption, optimize processes at customer fabs, and train customers and other engineers while managing escalation paths.

The role requires a Master’s or Ph.D. in a related field, willingness to travel up to 50%, and collaboration with Marketing and the GPG teams.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Ph.D. degree required in a relevant engineering or physical sciences field.

Responsibilities

• Characterization of new systems and features.
• Designing experiments, collecting data, and publishing results in applications notes.
• Product penetration/adoption and process optimization at customer fabs.
• Training customers and other apps engineers; handling local escalation.
• Investigating customer technical needs/problems and providing solutions.
• Reporting technology development and new applications to Marketing.
• Supporting pre-sale and post-sale activities.
• Travel up to 50% on short notice.
