Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 3 years of related professional experience.
• 3+ years supporting sales of related capital equipment; software/electro-mechanical/inspection experience helpful.
• Experience with B2B technical sales and generating revenue growth.
• Strong customer interfacing experience and ability to present a value proposition.
• Capable of growing new business and accounts; CAD drawing helpful for requirements and system design.

Responsibilities

• Prepare project scope, support solution presentations, and help close sales with new and existing clients.
• Support the development of new business opportunities with Domino sales and technical resources by phone, in person, and in writing.
• Manage and develop sales by cultivating relationships with Domino sales/resources, end users and regional partners.
• Provide pre-sale support with quotes, pricing, and timely follow-up to customers.
• Participate in marketing activities such as trade shows and events.
• Forecast 30–60–90 day opportunities and document sales activity.
• Collaborate with regional sales and internal teams to improve product positioning and tech modifications.
• Travel to assigned territory as needed.

Job Title

Regional Application Engineer

Compensation: $80,000 - $100,000 (based on qualifications)

Position Summary

This position is responsible for sales for a specified region. You will be a self-motivated and ambitious technical leader with capital equipment sales experience within the label, print or a related packaging industry.

Daily duties include supporting the field sales efforts by adding value to our printing devices by offering software connectivity, material handling and general automation solutions. You will liaise with the customers, understanding their requirements, and our corporate-based product and project teams in support of creating an end-to-end solution that speeds up the sales cycle and ultimately helps get deals done.

Main Responsibilities/Essential Functions

• Prepare project scope, support solutions presentations, and help close sales with new and existing clients
• Support the development of new business opportunities by working with Domino sales and technical resources by phone, in person, and through written communication
• Manage, grow, and develop sales by cultivating and maintaining relationships with Domino sales/support resources, end users and strategic regional partners
• Foster and maintain excellent customer and prospect relationships through regular pre-sale follow up, contract and custom pricing, timely quotations, and general account support for pre-sale activity
• Participate in marketing related activities such as trade shows and events
• Monitor, review, and report on key metrics and forecast 30-60-90 day opportunities to ensure sales targets are achieved; execute sales activity documentation in a timely and professional manner
• Work closely with regional sales and other internal technical teams to enhance product offerings, recommending adjustments to product positioning in the market and needed technical modifications
• Ensure the growth of the business and be committed to the company’s success
• Liase between customer, Project Mgmt, Installation Team from discovery to successful implementation

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or at least 3 years of related professional experience
• At least 3 years of experience supporting sales of related capital equipment; background with software, electro-mechanical/ inspection equipment helpful
• Experience with business-to-business technical sales support generating annual revenue growth
• Strong internal and external customer interfacing experience
• Experience articulating a value proposition that directly address clients’ needs
• Cultivating new business opportunities and growing existing accounts
• CAD drawing experience helpful in support of client requirement generation and system design
• Valid Driver’s License required
• Heavy travel required in a specific territory

• Strong technical/mechanical/system aptitude with analytical and problem-solving skills
• Technical sales support skills with the ability to identify and develop new client and market solutions for software and material handling solutions
• Possess strong technical presentation skills with excellent written and verbal and communication skills
• Desire and aptitude to grow the business and be motivated by delivering ‘wins’
• Able to work with different levels of employees/customers and thrive in a team environment
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to grow new customer relationships as well as service and maintain existing customers
• Have outstanding multi-tasking and organizational skills with an ability to complete difficult assignments without supervision in a fast paced, deadline driven environment Ability to prioritize tasks and ask for help when necessary
• Effectively manage time from a remote office and travel up to 60% of the time within assigned territory
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office – Excel; PowerPoint and Word

Physical Demands

• Light work. Light work involves exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a small amount of force constantly to move objects. Pushing, pulling, stooping, reaching, gross/fine manipulation, driving, kneeling, crawling, and climbing may be required. Physical demand requirements are more than those for Sedentary Work.
