Job summary

The University of Virginia Department of Anesthesiology seeks a tenure-ineligible clinical Instructor for a one-year July 2025 – June 2026 appointment. Training in regional anesthesia with locations at UVA Medical Center and UVA Outpatient Surgical Center, emphasizing fellow-level clinical work and research opportunities.

Completion of an ACGME‑accredited Anesthesiology residency with AB A certification or eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• MD or equivalent and completion of an ACGME‑accredited residency in Anesthesiology.
• American Board of Anesthesiology certification or certification-eligible.

Responsibilities

• Clinical work comprising 80% fellow and 20% junior faculty duties.
• Time allocated for research endeavors and conference attendance per fellowship guidelines.
• Eligible for quarterly incentive program for Friday/Saturday call or Saturday schedule.
