Job summary

Koalafi is seeking a Regional Account Manager to drive funding volume by managing existing merchant partnerships across the Midwest and West Coast. You will visit stores, train staff on products, and build strong relationships to expand business and improve service.

You will monitor KPIs, identify growth opportunities, coordinate with the NAM and internal teams, and travel regularly to partner locations. A strong customer-facing background and bilingual Spanish skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in account management or a similar role.
• Experience in a customer-facing role in retail/service.
• Willingness to travel regularly.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performance monitoring: track KPIs for each store and report to merchants and internal partners.
• Onboarding and training: lead onboarding with the NAM, providing group and one-on-one training on products, services and processes.
• Growth identification: identify and communicate growth opportunities at the store level with merchants and internal teams.
• Territory management: develop and execute a strategic territory plan with the NAM focusing on high-potential, underperforming, and new stores.

The primary function of the Regional Account Manager is to drive funding volume growth through effective management of our existing merchant partnerships. In this role, you will oversee day-to-day interactions with merchants, ensuring a consistent and exceptional service experience while identifying opportunities to expand business at the store level.

You will be responsible for training merchants on product offerings, addressing operational needs, and executing growth strategies. As the main point of contact, you will build strong relationships with merchant partners and collaborate with internal teams to achieve account objectives and maximize funding volume.

We are hiring for one position and welcome candidates located in the Midwest (Texas) or the West Coast (Phoenix, Arizona/Las Vegas, Nevada area).

Responsibilities

• Field Visits & Relationship Building : Conduct regular visits to merchant locations within your territory, building and maintaining strong relationships by gaining firsthand insight into their needs, challenges, and opportunities.
• Relationship Management : Serve as the main point of contact for your assigned stores, ensuring that every merchant receives top-tier service and support.
• Performance Monitoring : Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) for each store. Provide regular updates to both merchant partners and internal partners on metrics and overall performance.
• Onboarding & Training : Lead the onboarding process for new merchant partnerships in collaboration with the NAM, ensuring merchants are equipped with the knowledge and tools to succeed. Provide both group and one-on-one training on products, services, and processes.
• Growth Identification : Identify and communicate potential business growth opportunities at the store level, sharing insights with both merchants and internal teams.
• Territory Management : Partner with the National Account Manager (NAM) to develop and execute a strategic territory plan that aligns on key account needs—including marketing initiatives, system integrations, risk management, and prioritized coverage of high-potential, underperforming, and new stores.

Requirements

• 3+ years proven experience in account management or a similar role
• ~ Experience in a customer-facing role, ideally in the retail or service sector
• ~ Willingness to travel regularly
• ~ Bilingual in spanish preferred

NOTE: The full-time annual year-one on-target compensation (base salary + commission) for this role is $ 90,000-$120,000+. You'll get outside your comfort zone, build meaningful relationships, and most of all, take charge of projects that ultimately help people get the things they need most.
