Job description

As an Account Manager, you will engage with customers at all levels across the customer's organization to maintain and expand share of wallet. You will work with PPG's regional commercial teams, technical, product management, and operations teams to connect customer needs to PPG solutions.

This position can work remotely with travel to customers in Alabama, Tennessee and Kentucky and reports to a Commercial Manager – Tiers South.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily account management responsibility for a group of specific customer locations.

  • Partner with regional commercial and technical teams to grow share of wallet at account(s); pursue new sales opportunities and build winning value propositions that ensure share capture for PPG products and services.

  • Gain approval and specification positions, mobilize technical, manufacturing, and other commercial support to increase service levels for existing business and to support growth.

  • Manage pricing to ensure fair compensation for the value that PPG brings, increasing profitability

  • Develop and implement relationship reach strategies at customer(s); be a visible PPG representative within the customer's organization; understand customer values, competitive landscape, and PPG's relative advantages

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in business or engineering is required

  • 5+ years of sales experience

  • Experience with coatings technology.

  • Travel >50% with assigned region
