Job description

Job Description

As a Regional Account Executive within the Merchant Payment Services (MPS) division, you will serve as a highly motivated outside sales professional responsible for acquiring new merchant clients, developing strategic relationships, and growing market share within your assigned territory.

This is a true hybrid role , requiring an individual who not only thrives on creating opportunities, prospecting for new business, and building a pipeline through persistent business development efforts, but also possesses a skill set to cultivate referral partnerships for maximum results.

The Account Executive will approach the territory like an entrepreneur—building a business, creating a personal market presence, and taking ownership of results while simultaneously placing a keen focus on assigned referral partners to balance activity and production. The role offers the freedom to pursue opportunities across retail, restaurant, healthcare, public sector, and service-based businesses, develop trusted relationships with local owners and decision-makers, and generate momentum through cold calling, networking, community involvement, referrals, strategic partnerships, and direct in-market engagement. Running parallel will be the responsibility to engage and advance contracted referral relationships for strategic account identification and pursuit. While half the pipeline will be self-sourced, consultants are supported by the strength, credibility, and resources of assigned financial institution (FI) referral partnerships, creating additional opportunities to identify needs, introduce broader solutions, and win business.

The ideal candidate combines a hunter's mindset with a consultant's approach, pairing a relentless pursuit of new business with the ability to understand partner needs and deliver tailored payment solutions that help clients grow.
