Job summary

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation seeks an Access Management Coordinator for the South West Region, with duties centered on access control for the State Trunk Highway System. The role involves collaboration with local officials, surveyors, and developers, applying technical judgement under supervision.

Headquarters can be in Madison or LaCrosse; a hybrid schedule with at least 2 days per week in-office is required, with telework possible within Wisconsin.

Qualifications

• Reading and interpreting legal descriptions, zoning, statues, transportation plans and/or plats.
• Developing, implementing, coordinating, and/or monitoring project or program related activities.
• Communicating technical information to varied customers or groups.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate access control measures on the State Trunk Highway System.
• Interact with local officials, land surveyors, and developers and their consultants.
• Apply technical knowledge under supervision of SWR Planning Supervisor.
• Occasional travel for field reviews and meetings with municipalities and staff.
• Telework as allowed and work from WisDOT offices at least 2 days a week.
