Hudson Valley Credit Union is currently recruiting for the position of Region Team Assistant Manager.
Primary Function: Engage and develop the Region Relationship Advisors to provide high-quality member service through efficient transaction processing and successful implementation of HVCU Sales and Service Model. Responsible for traveling to fill branch leadership needs across all locations. Provide supervisory and leadership coverage to assist in the credit union's growth and meet organizational goals.
This position is responsible for traveling across Sullivan, Ulster, and Orange Counties to provide branch and leadership coverage.
Responsibilities
- Provide interim on-site support at assigned branches to assist with branch coverage and daily operations as directed by branch leadership.
- Assume responsibility for the staff and daily operations of assigned branches (both standard and universal models), including cash/teller operations, ATM, Teller Infinity, branch proof, compliance, and security.
- Assist branch leadership with training and onboarding of new staff; may deliver training content as needed under the direction of the Region Team Manager.
- Create, implement, and monitor employee performance plans. Monitor sales/cascading goals and results, conduct regular milestone meetings, identify trends, and make recommendations to ensure team goals are achieved.
- Create work schedules and assignments for Relationship Advisors that minimize member wait times and maximize employee availability, ensuring effective management of branch traffic.
- Create an environment of accountability by setting clear expectations, goals, and objectives, and providing consistent coaching and development to staff.
- Ensure staff is well-educated on marketing programs, self-service options, product knowledge, and sales techniques. Schedule and oversee employee training.
- Identify opportunities to enhance revenue, reduce expenses, improve processes, and submit annual budget recommendations to the Director of Retail Operations.
- Adhere to all policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including Bank Secrecy Act training. Participate in teams, projects, and strategic initiatives. Perform additional duties as assigned.

- Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of equivalent experience per undergraduate year; degree cannot substitute for required experience.
- NYS Notary Public license, following 12 months of independent work.
- Minimum 1 year sales and customer service experience in a financial or retail environment.
- Minimum 2 years supervisory or leadership experience in a financial or retail environment.
