As the largest government contractor for these departments, we operate 103 locations nationwide.

We are looking for a dynamic and motivated District Manager to oversee operations in six stores across South Carolina. This is your opportunity to lead with impact, drive results, and support the military communities we serve. Ideal candidates will reside in South Carolina.

The South Carolina District Manager will work from a home-based office and travel frequently to military bases—primarily by car, with occasional air travel. You will receive a company vehicle, all necessary office equipment, and the autonomy to manage and grow your district. Overnight travel will be required about 40% of the time.

Competitive Total Compensation
Great compensation, including a quarterly bonus incentive plan that rewards performance.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a District Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth operations, high levels of customer service, and business growth across multiple locations. Your key responsibilities will include:

Operations & Financial Management

  • Regularly visiting store locations to maintain high-quality standards and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Supporting and coaching local managers to enhance production, sales, and operational efficiency.
  • Ensuring compliance with military regulations and company policies.
  • Overseeing staffing, training, product presentation, cleanliness, and food safety.
  • Conducting monthly inventory reviews and approving schedules to align with business needs.
  • Creating a positive work environment that fosters high morale and low turnover.

Driving Sales & Customer Experience

  • Inspiring Deli/Bakery Managers to deliver top-tier customer service and exceed expectations.
  • Monitoring customer feedback through DeCA surveys and ensuring high performance at all stores.
  • Maximizing sales while effectively managing labor costs, inventory, and profit margins.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Developing and mentoring managers and shift leaders, fostering a culture of growth and accountability.
  • Providing direct, constructive feedback to build stronger teams.
  • Partnering with HR to recruit top talent and ensure policy compliance.

Who We’re Looking For

If you’re a results-driven leader with a passion for operations, customer service, and team development, we want you on our team! Ideal candidates will have:

  • A minimum of 2 years of management experience in food service (deli/bakery experience preferred).
  • Experience in retail supermarket chains or multi-unit operations is a plus.
  • Strong leadership, team-building, and coaching skills.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis and business performance assessment.
  • A Food Safety Manager Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
  • A valid driver’s license and ability to pass a military background check for base access.

Bonus if you have: Retail grocery or commissary experience, knowledge of military base operations, and a knack for boosting sales performance.

What We Offer – More Than Just a Paycheck!

We take care of our team because they take care of our mission. Here’s what you’ll enjoy:

  • Company Car for business and personal use.
  • Quarterly Bonus Incentive Plan to reward your performance.
  • All the office equipment necessary for your home office.
  • Two weeks of paid vacation, plus more benefits over time.
  • 401(k) Plan with a company match to invest in your future.
  • Excellent Health Benefits, including PPO medical, dental, vision, prescriptions, and employee life & disability coverage.
