Job summary

CAPITOL REGION EDUCATION COUNCIL (CREC) through the RMS invites applications for an Associate Instructor at the Reggio Magnet School of the Arts. The role supports classroom teachers with small-group instruction, data collection, and interventions.

Conducts classroom coverage, assists in literacy and math activities, and helps implement individualized plans aligned to student needs. Based in Avon, CT, the position emphasizes collaboration with educators, safety during field activities, and

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree from four-year college or university.
Motor Vehicle Operator's License or ability to provide transportation to meetings, trainings, and professional learning opportunities as required.

Responsibilities

Support daily functions of the school including arrival, dismissal, lunch coverage, and classroom coverage as needed.
Provide small group instruction under the direction of the classroom teacher and reinforce basic learning.
Collect, track, and enter student data into the district portal.
Assist with classroom behavioral management to minimize disruptions and maintain a safe, orderly environment.
Accompany and supervise students on field trips, ensuring safety and engagement.
