Responsibilities

Under the direction of the medical and cardiopulmonary directors, the RCP II performs respiratory therapeutic and pulmonary diagnostic procedures as ordered by physicians. Responsibilities include assessment, planning, implementation, and documentation of care, considering age and population-specific needs. In the absence of a supervisor, may be designated as Lead RCP, responsible for the section or department during their shift.

Qualifications

• State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License required
• Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintained
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification from NBRC required
• 2 years experience as an RCP preferred
• ACLS certificate within 60 days of hire and maintained
• NRP certificate preferred
• PALS certificate within 60 days of hire and maintained
• Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science degree preferred
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
