Job summary

Northwell Health is seeking a Licensed Respiratory Therapist to deliver respiratory care to patients across the hospital in accordance with policy and physician orders.

This role requires NYS licensure, an associate degree in respiratory therapy, and BLS certification, with NRP preferred for neonatal cases. The therapist will work under the Respiratory Department’s guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must hold a NYS Licensed Respiratory Therapist credential.
• Education includes an approved Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy or equivalent.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Neonatal Resuscitation Provider preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care services to patients in all hospital areas as per policies and physician orders.
• Interact with patients of all ages and deliver therapy as prescribed.
• Follow department procedures and NYS laws while delivering respiratory care.

The Licensed Respiratory Therapist (RT) provides respiratory care services to patients in all areas of the hospital in accordance with established policies and procedures and as prescribed by a physician. This individual will interact with patients of all ages. The Licensed Respiratory Therapist will practice this profession in such capacities as are prescribed by NYS Law, Title VIII Education Law and the Respiratory Department job description.

Requirements

Education: Have received an education, including completion of an approved Associate Degree Program in Respiratory Therapy or in a program determined by the Department of the State Board to be the equivalent.

Licensure/Registration/Certification

• Licensed as a Respiratory Therapist to practice in New York State.
• Basic Life Support certified; Neonatal Resuscitation Provider certification preferred

Range: $44.24-$57.53
