Job description

GENERAL SUMMARY

The Refrigeration Technician is responsible for all general refrigeration maintenance and repair of refrigeration problems throughout the facility in accordance with the standards of Pechanga Resort & Casino.

FOUR DIAMOND SERVICE AGREEMENT

All Team Members will display a Four Diamond commitment to Customer Service through the delivery and maintenance of the Quality Standards established by Pechanga Resort and Casino.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for preventative maintenance; checks all refrigeration equipment and ice machines to assure that they are clean and in working order
• Maintenance includes, but is not limited to, condenser cleaning, compressor service and evaporator cleaning, de-scaling and ice machine cleaning. Visual inspection of all components, including gaskets and maintains record keeping for all maintenance and service records.
• Performs maintenance and service as assigned by the Refrigeration Supervisor
• Maintains inventory stock, responsible for systems being maintained at all times.
• Performs electrical troubleshooting on all mechanical equipment as required
• Responsible for maintaining a consistent and regular attendance record.
• Maintains a constant watch over all refrigeration and ice making systems ensuring maximum efficiency and temperatures are within specifications

ACCOUNTABILITY

This position has no supervisory responsibilities. The Team Member is responsible for protecting the assets of PRC.

QUALIFICATIONS AND GUIDELINES

Experience/Training/Education: A High School diploma or general education degree (GED) is required; with at least 1 year of relevant refrigeration experience required; or equivalent combination of education and/or trade school certification.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

The position requires the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Also required is the ability to write routine reports and correspondence. The ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization is required as well.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

The position requires the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. The ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry is required as well.

REASONING ABILITY

The position requires the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. The ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables is required as well.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

• Must be able to obtain a Class “A” gaming license.
• EPA section 608 certification, type universal
• Valid California Drivers License

• Must be able to analyze and repair all equipment on property
• Good organization and communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work under stressful situations
