Job summary

A leading resort casino is seeking a Maintenance Kitchen Engineer II responsible for preventative and corrective maintenance on kitchen equipment. The ideal candidate should have a high school diploma and at least 3 years' experience in commercial kitchen equipment. Proficient organizational and communication skills, along with the ability to work under pressure, are essential. Flexibility for varied shifts including nights and weekends is required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on kitchen equipment.
  • Ensure stocked parts inventory is checked frequently for efficiency.
  • Communicate service and repairs to internal guests.

Job description

GENERAL SUMMARY

The Maintenance Kitchen Engineer II is responsible for Preventative and Corrective Maintenance on all kitchen equipment on an assigned shift throughout the resort in accordance with the standards of Pechanga Resort Casino (PRC).

FOUR DIAMOND SERVICE AGREEMENT

All Team Members will display a Four Diamond commitment to Guest Service through the delivery and maintenance of the Quality Standards established by Pechanga Resort Casino (PRC).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Completes preventative and corrective maintenance on commercial and industrial kitchen equipment I.E such as ovens, stoves, steam kettles, fryers, dishwashers, glass washers, and food preparation equipment independently with proficient results
  • Knowledgeable with Gaylord or Captive Air Automated Kitchen Exhaust hoods control panels
  • Knowledgeable in Fire Suppression systems sequence of operations primarily Ansul Systems
  • Highly capable in electrical and mechanical repairs on all kitchen equipment
  • Proficient in Steam operated Kitchen equipment and able to follow all safety protocols
  • Ensures stocked parts inventory for all equipment is checked frequently for the efficient performance of assigned jobs or emergencies
  • Follows all OSHA and PRC safety policies
  • Meets with the Maintenance Engineer Kitchen Supervisor on a regular basis to ensure integrity and communication of any finding in all kitchen systems
  • Capable in communicating to our internal guests in regards to service and repairs
  • Other duties as assigned
ACCOUNTABILITY

This position has no supervisory responsibilities. The Team Member will protect the assets of PRC

QUALIFICATIONS AND GUIDELINES
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING

A High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required; with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in commercial kitchen equipment.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

The position requires the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. The position also requires the ability to write routine reports and correspondence. The ability to speak effectively before groups of guests or Team Members of the organization is required as well.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

The position requires the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. The position also requires the ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY

The position requires the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. The position also requires the ability to work with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
  • Must qualify to obtain and maintain a Class “A” gaming license
  • Valid California Driver’s License

  • Proficient organization and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work under stressful situations
  • Must be qualified to work with gas, electrical and steam
  • Must be able to work with all trades within the Facilities Division
  • Positive attitude and professional demeanor

  • Must be able to work with a positive attitude in a fast paced and culturally diverse casino environment
  • Must be able to take direction and follow through with assigned tasks
  • Must be flexible and willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays
