Job description

GENERAL SUMMARY

The Maintenance Kitchen Engineer is responsible for kitchen equipment on an assigned shift and its repair throughout the resort in accordance with the standards of Pechanga Resort Casino (PRC).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Completes timely repairs on all domestic, commercial and industrial kitchen equipment.
• Keeps machinery operating in a safe, efficient manner, acceptable with all health codes.
• Performs electrical troubleshooting on all mechanical equipment as required.
• Meets with Kitchen Supervisor regularly to ensure integrity of all kitchen systems.
• Adheres to all OSHA and PRC safety policies.
• Knowledgeable in wiring diagrams.
• Maintains an adequate supply of materials needed for the efficient performance of assigned jobs.
• Knowledgeable in standards codes that apply to casino resort kitchen systems.
• All other duties as assigned.

ACCOUNTABILITY

This position has no supervisory responsibilities. The Team Member will protect the assets of PRC.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING

A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required; with 1 year experience in commercial or residential kitchen equipment appliance repair or equivalent combination of education and/or trade school certification.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

The position requires the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. The position also requires the ability to write routine reports and correspondence. The ability to speak effectively before groups of guests or Team Members of the organization is required as well.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

The position requires the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. The position also requires the ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY

The position requires the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. The position also requires the ability to work with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

• Must qualify to obtain and maintain a class "A" gaming license.
• Valid California Driver’s License.
