Description:

Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. is seeking to hire a full-time Service Technician for our Service department. This role involves working closely with Service Managers and requires expertise in refrigeration principles, mechanical and electrical systems, and safety regulations to ensure efficient and reliable operation of customer equipment.

Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. is a premier custom design-build contractor specializing in industrial refrigeration systems, offering design, fabrication, construction, commissioning, and in-house service.

Job Role:

The Service Technician is responsible for repairing, maintaining, and supporting industrial refrigeration equipment for our clients. A strong working knowledge of commercial and industrial refrigeration and electrical controls is essential for success in this role.

Schedule:

• Monday – Friday (45-60 hours per week)

Key Duties:

• Refrigeration repair and maintenance support for industrial accounts in food, beverage, and refrigerated storage equipment ranging from 100 HP to 5,000 HP
• Perform routine and emergency service on ammonia and Freon refrigeration equipment used in industrial applications
• Utilize knowledge of screw and reciprocal compressors, electrical troubleshooting of ammonia central systems, and control/alarm systems to perform inspections and preventative maintenance
• Adhere to all safety policies, procedures, and regulations

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED; HVAC tech school preferred
• Universal EPA certification or ability to obtain
• RETA 1 & 2 certification preferred
• Must pass pre-employment drug, felony, and motor vehicle record screenings
• This is a safety-sensitive position requiring regular drug testing
• Good physical condition required for climbing ladders, respirator use, heavy lifting, and long work hours
• Ability to wear a respirator and pass a fit test
