Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. is seeking a Service Technician to repair, maintain and support industrial refrigeration equipment across customer sites. You will work with ammonia and Freon systems, applying knowledge of compressors, electrical controls, and safety procedures to deliver reliable service.

The role emphasizes hands-on field work with a Monday-Friday schedule, lifting requirements, and adherence to safety and quality standards in a dynamic industrial environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; HVAC technical school preferred.
• Universal EPA certification or ability to obtain.
• Experience servicing commercial and/or industrial refrigeration systems.
• Skilled in troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and control systems.
• Must pass pre-employment and regular drug screenings, felony screenings, and motor vehicle record checks.
• Typical Monday-Friday schedule with home every night.
• Must lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to stand, bend, crouch and kneel for extended periods.
• Must work at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying conditions (heat, cold, dust, noise).
• Must have stamina to perform repetitive motions and stay on feet for most of the shift.
• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to operate tools safely.

Job Role

A Service Technician is responsible for the repair, maintenance & support of industrial refrigeration equipment for our valued customers. A working knowledge of commercial & industrial refrigeration and electrical controls is required to be successful in this role.

Schedule

• Monday - Friday (45-60 hours per week)

Key Duties

• Provide repair and maintenance support for industrial refrigeration systems ranging from 100 HP to 5,000 HP.
• Perform routine and emergency service on ammonia and Freon refrigeration equipment.
• Use knowledge of screw and reciprocating compressors, electrical troubleshooting, and various control/alarm systems to perform inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Ensure strict adherence to all work safety policies, procedures, and governing requirements.

Preferences

• 3-5 years of experience with ammonia refrigeration systems in an industrial setting.
• Knowledge of PLC systems and controls.
• Motor alignment experience.
• RETA 1 & 2 certification.
