Job summary

Wawona Frozen Foods Cedar location seeks a Refrigeration Technician to maintain and troubleshoot our ammonia-based systems, ensuring safety and reliability. You will work with the department lead to meet daily, weekly, and monthly goals and support a strong safety program.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in refrigeration in food manufacturing, RETA certifications preferred, and ability to read schematics. The role requires good communication and a proactive safety mindset.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in refrigeration for a food or similar manufacturing facility.
• RETA I or RETA II preferred.
• Intermediate ammonia system knowledge and ability to assess, troubleshoot, and maintain the system.

Responsibilities

• Ensure daily, weekly, and monthly goals are met in the refrigeration department.
• Monitor systems for proper operation and implement countermeasures to avoid crises.
• Read schematics and electrical drawings to troubleshoot equipment.
