San Antonio Thermo King in Temple, TX is hiring a Refrigeration Technician Apprentice. You’ll learn to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair transport refrigeration units, APUs, and heating systems while you gain hands-on experience.

You will train in four segments over the first year, with evaluations at 90-day intervals and a Thermo King Certification at year-end. Basic electrical and fluid dynamics knowledge, plus your own hand tools, are required to start.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 0–2 years of trade school or equivalent experience required.
• Must have or acquire tools needed for this position.
• Must have the ability to maintain a forklift license preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver license and the ability to operate motor vehicles for test purposes.

Responsibilities

• Learn and perform basic repair operations under supervision.
• Participate in classes and workshops; observe health and safety codes.
• Complete tests and assignments; work with a lead or mentor technician.
