Job summary

Tyson Foods in Cincinnati is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to operate, maintain, and repair the facility's refrigeration systems, power industrial trucks, and plant facility systems. The role emphasizes preventive and predictive maintenance to ensure safe, efficient operations.

You will read blueprints, complete daily logs, and support safety and GMP policies. A minimum of 6 months’ mechanic or refrigeration experience or graduation from an industrial maintenance program is required;

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of mechanic work or refrigeration experience.
• Graduate of an industrial maintenance training program.
• PSM experience preferred.
• Refrigeration experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical and mechanical preventive and predictive maintenance as tasked.
• Operate and maintain the ammonia refrigeration system.
• Complete daily log sheets and communicate effectively.
• Be proactive in recognizing and reporting unsafe conditions and other mechanical concerns.
• Assist in maintaining a relevant and accurate mechanical inventory.
• Follow safety, food safety, attendance, GMP policies.

General Job Description

Perform skilled work in the operation, predictive and preventative maintenance, and repair of the facility’s real property, power industrial trucks, and plant facility systems.Operate andmaintainthe ammonia refrigeration system.

Tasks

Able to perform electrical and mechanical preventative and predictive maintenance as tasked. Able to complete daily log sheets, communicate effectively, and be proactive in recognizing and reporting unsafe conditions and other mechanical concerns.

Be proactive in the daily plant operations to ensure maximum plantefficienciesand product quality andcapacity.

Assistinmaintaininga relevantandaccuratemechanical inventory.

Must support the company personnel and food safety programs, policies and procedures, and contract employee programs.

Follows all company personnel safety, food safety, attendance, GMPpolicies.

Basic mechanical knowledge and ability to include lubrication power train & bearing maintenance, motor and gearbox replacement, fork truck & pallet jack maintenance.

Able to use measurement devices.

Read and understand blueprints,manualsand work orders.

Requirements
