Overview

Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled and experienced Refrigeration Technician to join our team. In this role, you will install, service, or repair refrigeration systems in commercial establishments. A team player who is comfortable working independently, you love the feeling of a job well done and take pride in completing customer jobs with efficiency. A positive attitude is a must!

Position Overview: We are seeking a technician who has hands-on experience or has recently completed trade school training in HVAC systems, commercial kitchen equipment, or commercial refrigeration. You’ll be trusted to provide high-quality service to our commercial clients and work with a variety of systems and equipment, take on new challenges, and grow with our company.

Responsibilities

• Able to respond to a heavy workload of service calls in a professional manner.
• Communicate effectively with customers, explaining the cause of problems and the remedy; provide next steps if an issue has not been repaired.
• Follow and utilize troubleshooting guides to identify problems quickly.
• Consistently check system operations, safety and limit controls before leaving job locations.
• Ensure customers’ questions/concerns are addressed before leaving the work site.
• Use proper tools and instruments while troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with other service representatives to resolve issues and customer problems.
• Schedule arrival and departure with customers.
• Communicate tactfully to offer suggestions if system problems are caused by the customer.
• Determine priorities based on call schedule, carry proper tools and materials, and schedule vehicle maintenance.
• Complete all required paperwork promptly and accurately.
• Keep supervisor and manager informed of new developments, changes, or customer complaints.
• Complete service reports daily and obtain customer signatures.
• Join memberships and technical organizations to improve knowledge and skills.
• Keep technical knowledge current regarding equipment and concepts; read applicable manuals.

Qualifications

• Past experience as a refrigeration service technician or comparable education; EPA certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
• Experience in refrigeration, commercial kitchen equipment service, or recent trade school graduation in these fields.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• EPA certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).

Job Details
