Job summary

Greencore USA is seeking an experienced refrigeration technician to join our maintenance team. You will process and complete work orders, install refrigeration systems, and troubleshoot issues such as freon leaks and condenser motor failures. Strong mechanical aptitude and safety awareness are essential.

You will read blueprints and compliance schematics, test systems, and advise on upgrades while maintaining inventory and coordinating with clients on repair costs and options.

Qualifications

Refrigeration Technician Job Description

We are looking for an experienced commercial refrigeration technician or mechanic to join our maintenance and repair team. As a refrigeration technician, you will be responsible for processing and completing work orders, installing new refrigeration systems, troubleshooting mechanical failures that may include but not be limited to (freon leaks, expansion valve failure, evap. motor failure, condenser motor failure), and performing equipment maintenance such as, high- and low-pressure control tests, freon levels, condenser cleaning, fan cycle control testing and adjustment. You may also be required to advise on equipment upgrades and alternate cooling units.

To ensure success as a refrigeration technician, you should have advanced knowledge of and commercial refrigeration systems, good mechanical skills, and excellent troubleshooting skills. Ultimately, a top-class refrigeration technician expertly installs, repairs, and maintains refrigeration equipment with the least amount of down-time.
