Job summary

Dover Food Retail, Centerville, IA, is hiring for an onsite Refrigeration Assembly role. The candidate will fabricate and assemble components for environmental test equipment, reading blueprints and schematics, and mounting parts on frames using hand tools and welding equipment.

You will cut and braze tubing, adjust valves, and charge systems with refrigerant while following safety protocols and maintaining quality across multiple workstations.

Qualifications

• Read blueprints or schematic drawings for components and layouts.
• Must read rulers, tape measures and other measuring devices.
• Experience with hand tools and welding equipment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read and comprehend blueprints or schematic drawings to determine location, size, capacity and type of components.
• Mount compressor, condenser, or other components in specified locations on frame, using hand tools and welding equipment.
• Cut, bend, and braze tubing to form liquid and suction lines of refrigeration systems.
• Adjust valves according to specifications.
• Remove air from system and charge with refrigerant.
• May assemble and mount electrical wiring circuits, controls, and recording devices.
• Adapt to rapidly changing situations and perform assembly-type functions with tools.
• Read rulers, tape measures and other measuring instruments to ensure accuracy.
• Fasten parts with bolts, screws, rivets, or fasteners.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area and comply with safety equipment requirements.
