gobravvo is seeking an experienced Refrigeration Service Technician (HVAC/R) in Williamsburg, VA for a full-time on-site role. You will maintain, repair, and service commercial and industrial refrigeration and HVAC systems, ensuring reliability and client satisfaction.

The ideal candidate has EPA certification and at least 5 years of experience with commercial refrigeration, including supermarket equipment.

Refrigeration Service Technician (HVAC/R Technician) - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities

• Repair and overhaul compressors, water pumps, air handlers, and electrical/mechanical controls
• Service and maintain refrigeration, heating, and ventilation equipment
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues efficiently and accurately
• Perform preventive maintenance to optimize system performance
• Process job tickets and work orders, ensuring accurate documentation
• Pick up, deliver, and install refrigeration cases and equipment
• Support minor construction, remodels, and equipment start-ups as needed

Qualifications & Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; trade school preferred
• EPA certification required
• Minimum 5 years of commercial refrigeration experience
• Experience with convenience store and supermarket refrigeration systems strongly preferred
• Familiarity with single and rack refrigeration systems, display cases, and walk-in coolers/freezers
• Availability for emergency on-call rotation
• Ability to lift at least 60 lbs safely
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Pre-employment background check, motor vehicle report, and drug screening required
