Job summary

Comfor Temp Heating and Air Conditioning in Willowbrook, IL, is hiring a Refrigeration Service Technician to perform service, maintenance, repair, and installation of refrigeration and commercial HVAC systems. You will read blueprints, diagnose issues, and present repair options to customers.

We offer a take-home vehicle, 401K, health benefits, paid time off, and training for Nate certifications. This role requires at least 3 years in refrigeration and a valid driver’s license to operate company

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in refrigeration installation, maintenance, and repair.
• EPA Universal Certified
• HVAC technical school training or certification preferred
• Valid driver’s license with clean, insurable history
• High school diploma or GED required

Responsibilities

• Refrigeration service, maintenance, repair and installation of refrigeration equipment and commercial HVAC equipment.
• Communicate repair options to customers and coworkers
• Educate customers on preventative maintenance and IAQ products and services
• Retrofit / changeout installations as needed
• Read and understand blueprints, schematics, and electrical wiring diagrams
• Install Trane and Bryant equipment

Refrigeration Service Technician

Pay: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour, Depending on experience + Spiffs

Work Hours: 7:00am to 3:00pm with occasional overtime

Schedule: Monday to Friday

What You Will Be Doing:

• Refrigeration service, maintenance, repair and installation of Refrigeration equipment and commercial HVAC equipment. No restaurant hot side
• Communicate ideas and repair options to customers and coworkers
• Educating customers on the benefits of preventative maintenance and Indoor Air Quality products and Services.
• Retrofit / Changeout Installations as needed
• Equipment we work on: Furnace, AC, heat pumps, split systems, RTU's, walk-in and reach-in coolers, Freezers, small air-cooled chillers, make up air units etc.
• Duct work as needed
• Able to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and electrical wiring diagrams
• We install Trane and Bryant equipment

What We Are Looking For:

• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in refrigeration installation, maintenance, and repair
• Background in servicing and repairing commercial HVAC systems
• EPA Universal Certified
• Skilled in diagnosing issues, repairing equipment, and performing preventative maintenance on a variety of residential and commercial HVAC units
• Strong communication and customer service abilities with both clients and team members
• Knowledgeable in the safe operation of scissor lifts and Genie lifts
• Capable of lifting and transporting up to 50 pounds
• HVAC technical school training or certification preferred
• Possess a valid driver's license with a clean, insurable driving history
• High school diploma or GED required
