Job summary

ComforTemp Heating and Air Conditioning in Willowbrook, IL, seeks a Refrigeration Service Technician to service, maintain, repair, and install refrigeration and commercial HVAC equipment. You will read blueprints and electrical diagrams, communicate repair options to customers, and participate in retrofit installations as needed.

The role requires 3+ years in refrigeration, EPA Universal certification, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on refrigeration installation, maintenance, and repair experience.
• Experience servicing commercial HVAC systems.
• EPA Universal Certification required.
• Must read blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Valid driver’s license with clean history.

Responsibilities

• Perform refrigeration service, maintenance, repair and installation of refrigeration and commercial HVAC equipment.
• Explain repair options to customers and coworkers.
• Educate customers about preventative maintenance and IAQ products.

Refrigeration Service Technician

Pay: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour, Depending on experience + Spiffs

Work Hours: 7:00am to 3:00pm with occasional overtime

Schedule: Monday to Friday

What You Will Be Doing

• Refrigeration service, maintenance, repair and installation of Refrigeration equipment and commercial HVAC equipment. No restaurant hot side
• Communicate ideas and repair options to customers and coworkers
• Educating customers on the benefits of preventative maintenance and Indoor Air Quality products and Services.
• Retrofit / Changeout Installations as needed
• Equipment we work on: Furnace, AC, heat pumps, split systems, RTU's, walk-in and reach-in coolers, Freezers, small air-cooled chillers, make up air units etc.
• Duct work as needed
• Able to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and electrical wiring diagrams
• We install Trane and Bryant equipment

What We Are Looking For

• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in refrigeration installation, maintenance, and repair
• Background in servicing and repairing commercial HVAC systems
• EPA Universal Certified
• Skilled in diagnosing issues, repairing equipment, and performing preventative maintenance on a variety of residential and commercial HVAC units
• Strong communication and customer service abilities with both clients and team members
• Knowledgeable in the safe operation of scissor lifts and Genie lifts
• Capable of lifting and transporting up to 50 pounds
• HVAC technical school training or certification preferred
• Possess a valid driver's license with a clean, insurable driving history
• High school diploma or GED required
