Job summary

ComforTemp Heating and Air Conditioning in Willowbrook, IL, is seeking an HVAC Service Technician to perform service, maintenance, repair, and installation of residential and commercial systems. The role involves retrofit work, clear communication with customers and team members, and promoting preventive maintenance programs.

Candidates should have HVAC service experience, EPA Universal Certification, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

HVAC Service Technician

Pay: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour, depending on experience + Spiffs

Work Hours: 7:00am to 3:00pm | Monday through Friday | occasional overtime

What You Will Be Doing

• Commercial and Residential service, maintenance, repair and installation of HVAC Systems
• Retrofit / Changeout Installation as needed
• Clearly communicate HVAC issues, recommendations, and solutions with customers and team members
• Educate customers on preventative maintenance programs and indoor air quality products and services
• Experience servicing and installing furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, split systems, RTUs, walk-in coolers, reach-in coolers, freezers, chillers, and make-up air units
• Perform ductwork installation and modifications as requiredAbility to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
• Skilled in safely operating scissor lifts and Genie lifts
• Experience working with Trane and Bryant HVAC equipment systems

What We Are Looking For

• Experience performing annual HVAC maintenance and preventative service
• Refrigeration system experience preferred
• EPA Universal Certification required
• Skilled in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of residential and commercial HVAC equipment
• Strong customer service and communication skills with the ability to clearly explain issues and solutions to customers and coworkers
• Knowledge of air balancing methods and HVAC airflow principles
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• HVAC Technical School certification or completion preferred
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required
