Job summary

Wilson Restaurant Supply LLC is hiring a Refrigeration Technician to maintain commercial refrigeration systems, including walk-in coolers and freezers. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and manage refrigerants while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

The role requires strong communication with clients and team, the ability to lift up to 100 lbs, a valid driver’s license, and 5+ years of experience in the field. On-site visits across assigned locations are expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years troubleshooting, installation and service of commercial refrigeration.
• Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose issues accurately.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with customers and team members.

Responsibilities

• Maintain commercial refrigeration systems and equipment including walk-in coolers and freezers.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues, perform repairs or replacements as needed.
• Handle refrigerants per federal/state regulations including recovery and disposal when required.
• Respond to service calls promptly and provide excellent customer service.
• Interact with clients to understand needs and suggest equipment or maintenance services.
• Maintain accurate service records (work orders, parts used, details).
• Ensure compliance with local codes, safety regs and environmental standards.
• Stay updated on latest technologies and industry practices.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain commercial refrigeration systems and equipment, including walk-in coolers and freezers
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues in refrigeration equipment, making repairs or replacements as necessary to restore functionality
• Hand and manage refrigerants according to federal and state regulations, including recovery and disposal when required
• Respond to services calls promptly, provide excellent customer service and efficiently resolve issues
• Interact with clients to understand their refrigeration needs and provide recommendations for equipment or maintenance services
• Maintain accurate records of service performed including work orders, parts used and any pertinent details about the systems serviced
• Ensure all work complies with local building codes, safety regulations and environmental standards
• Stay updated on the lates technologies, tools and industry practices to enhance skills and knowledge in commercial refrigeration

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record, as this position may require driving a company van to various job sites
• 5+ years of experience in troubleshooting, installation and service of commercial refrigeration
• Proficiency in using tools and equipment common to the trade
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose issues accurately
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members
• Ability to climb a ladder up to 24’
• Ability to lift 50 – 100 lbs.
• EPA, Refrigeration– Type II or Universal certificate preferred
