Job summary

Branding Iron Holdings / Rochester Meat Company seeks a Refrigeration Maintenance Tech (1st Shift) to maintain ammonia/CO2 refrigeration systems and related equipment in our Rochester facility. The role involves preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and supporting production to ensure uptime.

Requirements include hands-on ammonia refrigeration experience, strong electrical/mechanical aptitude, and 2+ years in industrial refrigeration.

Qualifications

Hands-on experience with ammonia refrigeration systems.
CO2 refrigeration experience preferred.
Two+ years in industrial refrigeration or maintenance.
Able to lift up to 60 pounds and perform physical tasks.
Willingness to obtain RETA with company support.

Responsibilities

Inspect primary compressors and refrigeration systems at main plant and Frozen Storage facility.
Maintain and repair ammonia/CO2 refrigeration systems and controls.
Perform preventive maintenance on refrigeration, HVAC, and cooling systems.
Troubleshoot refrigeration, cooling, and heating issues to minimize downtime.
Support production by servicing freezing and packaging equipment linked to refrigeration.
Read and work from schematics and electrical diagrams.
Log maintenance activities in CMMS and manage work orders.
Follow safety protocols including LOTO and PPE usage.
Participate in HazMat team activities and emergency troubleshooting.
