Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking a Refrigeration Mechanic to operate and maintain refrigeration systems across the plant, ensuring safe operations and compliance with Tyson policies. Work could be in Processing or Slaughter areas.

Candidates must have refrigeration or maintenance experience, be able to pass a respiratory exam, and meet physical requirements including lifting and working in cold environments; ability to complete on-the-job paperwork is required.

• 3 months Refrigeration experience or 6 months Maintenance experience. (must be listed on application/resume)
• Reading and writing skills; ability to complete on-the-job paperwork and communicate across management levels
• Ability to work in a cold, damp or hot and humid environment
• Proficiency in following Tyson policies and procedures

Job Details

This position is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the refrigeration systems while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Refrigeration Mechanic position could work in any area of the plant, Processing or Slaughter.

• Duties could include standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, and reaching; climbing up and down stairs and ladders.
• Lifting is required in many areas (up to 70 pounds).
• Successful completion of a respiratory physical will be necessary.
• These positions work in a cold, damp or hot and humid environment.
• Proficiency in reading and writing, ability to complete on-the-job paperwork and effectively communicate across all management levels.

Pay is commensurate with experience ($22.65 - $32.55)
