Publix Super Markets is seeking a Refrigeration Hardware Technician 1 to join our Facilities Refrigeration team in Central Orlando. The role focuses on preventive maintenance and quick service requests for retail refrigeration hardware across stores.

You will evaluate and maintain refrigeration hardware components, repair when needed, and keep parts inventory organized. A high school diploma, a valid driver license, basic Word/Excel skills, and the ability to work nights/weekends are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or its equivalent.
• 1 year working in skilled trades service or construction disciplines OR 2 years in Publix Retail or Operations experience.
• Must be at least 20 years old and have a valid driver license.
• Ability to lift/lower/climb ladders/walk on roofs.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, on call rotations and travel with overnight stays.

Year End Bonus

To reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year, Publix provides a Holiday Bonus in November. In the first year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay, and in the second year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to one week’s pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check. In subsequent years, the bonus is equal to two weeks’ pay.
