Job summary

CoolSys - Refrigeration and HVAC Systems seeks an experienced project lead in Fort Myers, FL to supervise installation crews on commercial refrigeration projects. You will mentor apprentices, manage schedules, and coordinate with customers and contractors on site.

The role requires hands-on copper brazing, supermarket refrigeration installs, and strong safety leadership. A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle are expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in commercial building construction or related industry/trade.
• Minimum of 5 years of supermarket refrigeration install experience.
• Hands-on supermarket refrigeration install experience, copper brazing, and underground/above-ground wiring.
• High school diploma, GED, or completion of trade program; college degree is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Knowledge of construction principles and practices, including efficient labor hour use.
• Ability to organize tasks and use good judgment in work assignments.
• Ability to give clear instructions and guidance as needed.
• Ability to maintain project labor hours within limits and request change orders as needed.
• Ability to ensure safe work practices and compliance with Safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Lead Technical resource on assigned projects.
• Lead 5-7 people at one time.
• Report on job status and performance.
• Control job costs.
• Develop and maintain productive relationships with peers, customers, GCs, and subcontractors.
• Ensure PPE use and safety behavior across employees.
• Ensure compliance with Installation policies, safety, time and attendance.
• Oversee 3rd party resources as needed.
• Direct and oversee work of Apprentices and Journeymen on projects.
