Job summary

Dover Food Retail is hiring an EMS Technician to install and maintain refrigeration and energy management systems in supermarket environments across multiple sites in Phoenix, Flagstaff, Carlsbad, Santa Fe, Clovis, and more. You will document control hardware, read blueprints, and perform wiring and testing with safety in mind.

The role requires 3+ years in electrical systems, a valid driver's license, and willingness to travel up to 75%. Day 1 benefits and ongoing training are provided.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Three (3) + years of experience working with electrical systems in commercial settings.
• Valid State Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Document and install control system hardware, cabling and conduit for refrigeration and energy management upgrades.
• Install and maintain EMS in supermarkets, convenience stores and foodservice establishments.
• Read and interpret blueprints, ladder diagrams and schematics.
• Read and interpret control and ladder logic diagrams.
• Travel as required (up to 75%).
• Perform routine inspections and troubleshoot to prevent system failures.

Along with performing duties as a technician for the purpose of installation and maintenance of Energy Management Systems in supermarkets, convenience stores, and foodservice establishments.* Engage in the installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of systems that utilize control voltage signals and high-voltage power components.* Read and interpret control and ladder logic type diagrams. Must know how to read blueprints and schematic diagrams.* Uses standard hand tools, power tools, as well as specific instruments and specialty tools such as: voltmeter, multi-meter, amprobe, manometer, RPM speed indicator.* Execute plans of control wiring and other electrical systems* Install electrical apparatus, fixtures and equipment for alarm and other systems* Install safety and distribution components (e.g. switches, resistors, circuit-breaker panels etc.)* Connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks, ensuring compatibility of components* Prepare and assemble conduits and connect wiring through them* Prevent breakdown of systems by routinely inspecting and replacing old wiring and insulated cables, cleaning circuits etc.* Perform effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions and repair or substitute damaged unit* Willingness and ability to travel 25% - 75% of the time.* Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.**Basic Qualifications:*** High School diploma or GED* Three (3) + years of experience working with electrical systems with focus in commercial construction work* Valid State Driver’s License**Why Choose Dover Food Retail?**We believe in a collaborative entrepreneurial spirit and winning through our customers.
