Job summary

Lennox International's Heatcraft Worldwide Refrigeration unit in Stone Mountain, GA, seeks a Refrigeration Design Engineer focused on CO2 transcritical systems. The role emphasizes system-level engineering, cross‑functional collaboration, and hands-on design to optimize performance.

Their state-of-the‑art manufacturing facilities in the cities of Stone Mountain and Tifton, Georgia, produce evaporators, condensers, compressor racks, and other top‑quality refrigeration products for their five market‑leading brands: Bohn, Larkin, Climate Control, Chandler, and InterLink. Heatcraft products are primarily used to preserve food and other perishables in supermarkets, convenience stores, restaurants, warehouses and distribution centers, in addition to other applications such as data centers, pharmaceutical and industrial process cooling.

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Refrigeration Design Engineer focused on system‑level engineering to join our Advanced Technology team. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience with CO₂ transcritical refrigeration systems and a strong ability to design, analyze, and optimize system performance. This role requires collaboration with cross‑functional teams and a proactive attitude toward learning and innovation.

• Design, analyze, and optimize refrigeration systems.
• Perform component selection for refrigeration systems based on system requirements.
• Conduct system calculations, simulations, and performance analyses.
• Collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams including R&D, manufacturing, sales and product management.
• Continuously explore and adopt advanced technologies to improve system efficiency and performance.

What We Offer

Compensation: This is a salaried exempt role. We are open to hiring at different levels for this position (ME III - ME IV) depending on experience and skillset resulting in a wide compensation range. The starting salary range for this role and market is between $97,000 - $145,000 annually. This position is also eligible for the BroadBase Incentive (BBI) program with a target payout of 2%. Employees in this role are not eligible for overtime.

Location and Schedule: This position is located in Stone Mountain, GA and will be in the office Monday through Friday.

Paid Time Off: Depending on date of hire, and subject to applicable eligibility requirements, new employees in this role also receive up to: 12 days paid time off, 2 paid well‑being days, 1 paid volunteer day, 9 to 11 paid company holidays depending on the year, and 3 floating holidays per year.
