Job summary

Constellation is seeking a skilled Refrigeration Appliance Technician to service residential appliances and promote the company’s full range of services. The role emphasizes diagnosing complex issues, maintaining equipment, and providing exceptional customer service.

Training opportunities are available to advance your career within a growing energy company. The technician will work on refrigeration and related systems, with overtime and weekend shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience working with appliances.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and overtime.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to meet company driving standards.
• Physically capable of bending, stopping, climbing ladders and lifting objects.
• Advanced knowledge in refrigeration, laundry, or kitchen systems.
• Advanced skills in servicing gas and electric water heaters.
• Advanced customer relations skills.
• Sales ability to promote all company services.

Responsibilities

• Perform refrigeration appliance services for residential customers.
• Promote sale of other Constellation Home services.
• Identify and fix complex appliance problems.
• Maintain stock and equipment; recommend additions or deletions.
• Attend manufacturer training and share knowledge with team.
• Mentor other service technicians in the field.

Expected hourly range of $29.49 to $36.05, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k). In addition to your hourly wage, this role has additional earning potential through voluntary overtime and task work opportunities dependent on business need.

Primary Purpose of Position

Performs Refrigeration Appliance services for residential customers and promotes the sale of all other services.

Primary Duties and Accountabilities

• Serves as expert in handling aggravated cases involving multiple requests for service.

• Promote the sale of other services offered by Constellation Home to customers.

• Identifies and corrects complex problems in specified appliances.

• Maintains company stock and equipment, and makes recommendations for additions or deletions as needed.

• Attends appliance manufacturer training and presents to team.

• Serves as a trainer and mentor for other service technicians in the field.

Minimum Qualifications

• 3 years of experience working with appliances

• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and overtime

• Eligibility to meet Company driving standards, including possession of a valid driver's license

• Average physical ability (bending, stopping, and climbing ladders)

• Ability to lift and carry objects of various weights

• Advanced knowledge and skills in at least two of the following areas refrigeration, laundry, and kitchen systems

• Advanced skills in servicing gas and electric water heaters

• Advanced skills in customer relations

• Advanced skills in sales with the ability to recommend and promote all services offered by the company

Preferred Qualifications

• EPA certification for handling refrigerants
