Job summary

Walters Gardens Inc. is seeking a motivated Cold Storage Coordinator to manage product in our cold storage areas in Zeeland, MI. This full-time role requires seasonal overtime and a willingness to cross-train across different roles within the company.

The successful candidate will organize and stage product, unload shipments, stock coolers and freezers, read reports to set priorities, restock as needed, and prepare orders for shipment while maintaining inventory accuracy.

Qualifications

• Self-motivated and highly organized.
• Able to stand for extended periods.
• Comfortable in coolers/freezers (30-40°F).
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Repeated bending/twisting motions to access product.
• Experience operating a hi-lo forklift safely.
• Proficient with RF gun for inventory and order processing.
• Willing to cross-train across roles.

Responsibilities

• Organize and stage product efficiently in cold storage areas.
• Unload product from semi-trucks safely and promptly.
• Stock product in coolers and freezers with proper storage conditions.
• Read and interpret reports to determine upcoming work and priorities.
• Restock product to ensure availability.
• Communicate shortages and inventory issues to coworkers.
• Prepare orders accurately for shipment.
• Load trucks with orders being shipped out.

Position Overview

We are currently seeking a self-motivated and organized Cold Storage Coordinator to manage and coordinate the product in our cold storage areas. This full-time position requires seasonal overtime and a willingness to cross-train and work in a variety of roles within the company.

Key Responsibilities

• Organize and stage product efficiently in cold storage areas.
• Unload product from semi-trucks safely and promptly.
• Stock product in coolers and freezers, maintaining proper storage conditions.
